There is a full zipper closing the top or use the magnetic snap tab instead!  The lining is chambray cotton with 3 slip pockets and one large secure zipper pocket. The bag will hold  a laptop easily - 13" x 4" wide at the base. 16" wide across the top zipper and 13" high. The straps are 12" and fit under arm easily.
The bag comes with a small cork wallet which will hold credit cards and cash - 6.5" x 3".
Waxed canvas is strong and very durable. It will develop creases and wrinkles as it ages. It is water- resistant.  Use a soft, damp cloth or brush to spot clean as needed. Never dry clean or use detergent.
